witnessing unjust treatment by elders and seeing others unjustly treated by such - had a big impact on me seeing through the facade that was the organization called jehovah's witnesses.
being raised in it 44 years i observed many times congregation elders operating their crew of " fellow elders " like a good old boys club in which although it was called a " body " of elders ; nevertheless still one elder dominated others and the lesser elders fell into line with what the " chief " or prime elder said would go down.
when leaving the organization in late 2003 - i questioned my own father, an elder for over 50 years about the unjust treatment i had received at the hand of such men.
Its Elders that choose New Elders, not the Holy Spirit. Any usually its their buddy MS's, the MS's who are either related to the Elder or know how to suck up to them and impress them, nothing to do with the holy spirit. And then when a MS is chosen to be an Elder, regardless of his maturity or experience, he is now a Marriage counsellor, child psychologist, etc.... what a joke!

jehovah's witnesses are supposed to be "christian".
yet their acts and attitudes are anything but.
they look down upon anyone not a witness.
There is a scripture to support anything you want to teach, as long as you ignore the scriptures that contradict it.
Using this system, any religion can support their way of thinking, and mind control.
What can be a normal Christian thing to do, can be presented as something wrong to do by carefully using selected scriptures or misapplying examples in the bible.
Its only when someone starts to think for themselves and seeing the whole picture can a clear way of Christian thinking be achieved, of course the WTS cannot allow this, they must think the WTS way.
So even if their conscience is telling them something is wrong, the WTS teaches them that their conscience is wrong, and the WTS is right.

i know a fellow who like me, was born into the jws.
his father (a long time elder) and mother are both hard core jws.
let's call him "robert.
i am in exactly the same postions.. be careful...some think that 'turning you in', is an act of Godly devotion. And the elders will be happy with them.
But do try it, a bit at a time, but be ready to deny it if needed.

recently, i've heard from various jw family members that either i am viewed as "close to being an apostate" because i had made some comments suggesting that the fds is clearly wrong on many issues over the years or that i "have left jehovah" and therefor by my new way of life, i must be shunned.
while visiting my dying non jw uncle in the hospital, i was told outrightly that it was wished that i never showed my face and that my mere presence was objectionable and that since i "left jehovah", they could not talk to me any longer.. their viewpoints saddened me because they said all this in front of my uncle who can barely respond to anything.
his reaction: he cried his eyes out!
Yes, they shun you even if you are not DF or DA, I have heard of that many many times, there are some I know who not go to meetings anymore, although they are not DF or DA, they are treated as if they were.
But the JW’s R&F don’t know what they are really saying, I don’t really believe they mean it or understand, they are just parrots for the WTS. Remember the words of Jesus, " forgive them my father, they don’t know they are doing."

Those who I have meet who claimed to be of the 144,00 were nutty enought..... i hate to think how nutty someone must be to claim to be Jesus or Moses etc...

we saw someone paragliding off a mountain.
Christians can do whatever they like...you just don't tell anyone.
